Welcome to the Voice International website...

We are starting preparations for the 2008 BEVERLEY GREEN FAIR.

It will take place on Sunday 27 April 2008, at Longcroft School in Beverley.

Voice International promotes education for sustainability through partnership. We work with individuals, organisations, groups and communities locally, nationally and internationally.

The concept of 'education for sustainability' means working towards 'a more just and sustainable world in which power and resources are more equitably shared, by developing the skills, understanding, attitudes and values which enable people to work together to bring about change and take control of their own lives.'
(Development Education Association UK)

This site is intended to be a resource for individuals and organisations who share that concept.

'Sustainable development' is a concept much broader than the threat of climate change, and education is not limited to the formal education system, but includes all activity which entails human learning - in the home, the work place, the community and the government. We hope that as this site grows it will in the future reflect the depth and interdependence of these concepts.
